Dictated entries are written to your running markdown notes file.

This file is intended to be locally controlled by you and can be opened in your preferred editor.

Export actions create copies of your notes file for sharing or backup.

Speech Processing

Speech transcription is handled through Apple platform speech recognition capabilities.

Depending on your macOS version, selected language, and system configuration, recognition behavior may vary and can include on-device processing where supported.

Analytics and Tracking

Dictate Bar does not use third-party advertising trackers.

Dictate Bar does not track you across apps or websites.

Third-Party Services

Dictate Bar may rely on Apple services required for app distribution and platform-level speech functionality.

Your Choices

You can revoke microphone and speech recognition permissions in macOS settings.

You can stop using Dictate Bar at any time and remove it from your device.
