Provider of Things Privacy Policy

Provider of Things is designed to keep your care information within your Apple ecosystem.

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Overview

Provider of Things is an app for remembering recurring care for plants, gear, home items, and other personal things. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have.

Provider of Things is created and operated by Brave New Design LLC. The app does not require a separate Provider account, email login, password, or custom server.

Information stored by the app

When you use Provider of Things, the app may store the information you enter so it can provide its core features. This can include:

  • Provider names, notes, categories, and visual identities
  • Care Task actions, schedules, notes, and start dates
  • Completion history and calculated care timing
  • Photos or generated identity images you choose to save
  • App settings needed to preserve the experience

This information is used to display your Providers, surface Needs Attention, record care, calculate simple schedules, and preserve completion history.

Local storage and iCloud

Provider of Things is local-first. Its care records are stored in the app's SwiftData store on your Apple device so the core experience can remain useful without a Provider account.

Depending on the version and configuration you use, the app may use Apple's private iCloud or CloudKit services to synchronize app data across your Apple devices. This is an Apple platform service, not a Brave New Design account or custom server. iCloud availability, device settings, and synchronization timing are controlled by Apple and your device configuration.

If iCloud is unavailable, the app may continue using its local on-device store where supported. We do not control Apple's iCloud service or its separate privacy practices.

Photos and Image Playground

You may choose one photo as a Provider's visual identity using Apple's system photo picker. Provider of Things accesses the image you select so it can display and store that identity in the app's data.

When Apple Image Playground is available and you choose to use it, the request is handled through Apple's system framework. The Provider name, notes, and prompt context may be processed by Apple as needed to provide that Apple feature under Apple's terms. Brave New Design does not operate a separate image-generation service and does not use generated images for advertising or profiling.

Analytics, advertising, and external services

Provider of Things does not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-app tracking, or an analytics profile for your care data.

The app does not send Provider names, notes, care history, or other personal care content to an external AI service. It does not include a custom account system, custom server API, or remote database operated by Brave New Design.

The app may rely on Apple services required for operating-system features, iCloud or CloudKit configuration, Image Playground, and distribution. Those services are governed by Apple's policies.

Support messages

If you email support, Brave New Design receives the email address, message, and any device or diagnostic details you decide to provide. We use that information to respond to your request, investigate the issue, and maintain reasonable support records.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a support message unless it is necessary to explain the issue.

Your choices and deletion

You choose what Providers, Care Tasks, notes, images, and completions to add. You can edit or delete records through the app's available controls. Removing the app or its app data may remove local records; if private iCloud synchronization is enabled, Apple may synchronize changes according to its system behavior.

You can control iCloud access and Apple platform permissions in the settings provided by Apple. Provider of Things does not offer a separate account dashboard because it does not use a separate app account.

Children's privacy

Provider of Things is not directed toward children under 13, and Brave New Design does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated when the app's data practices or Apple platform integrations change. When it is updated, the date at the top of this page will change.
