Within Reason Privacy Policy

Within Reason stores daily entries and imported attachments on your device. When iCloud Drive is available, the app uses your private iCloud container to sync them between your devices. Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy. Brave New Design LLC does not receive or have access to your entries or attachments through the app.

The app does not require a separate account. It does not include advertising, tracking, analytics SDKs, or a developer-operated service that collects your writing, identifiers, or usage data. It does not sell your data or send your writing to an AI service.

You can import attachments, export a day, or open/share a disposable copy of an attachment in another app. Those actions send the files you choose to the destination you select. The destination app or service handles them under its own privacy practices.

If you email shawn@bravenewdesign.com, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond. Avoid sending private journal entries unless they are necessary to explain the issue. Support email is handled separately from the app.

Device and iCloud settings control access to your stored app data and iCloud storage. Removing the app from one device does not necessarily remove data stored in iCloud or on other devices. Export anything you want to keep before removing data through system storage settings.
